Mali: Russia’s ‘Africa Corps’ Airstrikes Kill Civilians

On June 15, 2026, the Russian government-controlled Africa Corps conducted airstrikes in the Mopti region of Mali. Human Rights Watch reports that a Sukhoi Su-24 dropped munitions on Kyrnia village, killing eight civilians, including three children. One strike hit near the village chief's residence, while another targeted a cattle market.
