Man found shot to death on Greater Grand Crossing sidewalk, police say

Chicago police responded to the 100 block of East 71st Street around 10:20 p.m. on Friday, where they discovered a 49-year-old man on the sidewalk. The victim suffered gunshot wounds to his shoulder and cheek. He was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
