Man who sprayed vinegar on Omar during town hall sentenced to 14 months in prison

Anthony Kazmierczak, aged 55, was sentenced Thursday to 14 months in prison for assaulting U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar. The sentence follows a plea deal regarding the January 27 incident where Kazmierczak sprayed apple cider vinegar on the Democratic representative during a Minneapolis town hall. He received the maximum sentence for federal charges of assaulting a U.S. officer. Additionally, the court ordered Kazmierczak to serve three years of supervised release following his term of imprisonment.
