Patricia Krenwinkel, former Manson follower, granted parole for third time

Patricia Krenwinkel, a 78-year-old former Charles Manson follower, was granted parole on Tuesday following nearly six decades of imprisonment for the Tate-LaBianca murders. This marks the third time the California board of parole hearings has approved her release. Previously, Governor Gavin Newsom overturned two prior grants. Krenwinkel's attorneys are now urging the governor to uphold this latest decision. The recommendation followed her 18th hearing conducted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
