Many states cover doula care, but access often out of reach

Currently, doula care is covered in 26 states and Washington, D.C. Despite this progress, access remains difficult for many individuals. Furthermore, an additional 20 states are actively working to implement similar policies or have already considered proposals to provide coverage for these services. This trend indicates a growing movement toward integrating doula care into state-funded healthcare systems, although the actual availability of these services continues to be a significant challenge for many patients.
