Police searching for suspects in 'attempted ambush' on officers in north St. Louis

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating an attempted ambush that occurred Tuesday night shortly after 9 p.m. During a traffic stop near Thekla Ave. and Riverview Blvd. in the Walnut area, occupants of a vehicle pulled up and opened fire on officers. Police have released a photo of the suspected car involved in the shooting. Authorities are currently searching for the suspects responsible for the attack on the SLMPD officers during the incident.
