Mark Zuckerberg buys Gothic castle near Meta HQ in Ireland on 400-acre riverfront property

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan have acquired Strancally Castle and its accompanying 440-acre riverfront estate located in County Waterford, Ireland. A spokesperson stated that the family is eager to maintain the historic home and spend time near the international headquarters of Meta. Zuckerberg becomes the third tech billionaire to purchase a large Irish country estate since 2021, following previous acquisitions by James Dyson and John Collison of Stripe for their own bases in Ireland.
