‘Married at First Sight’ U.K. Canceled by Channel 4 Following Sexual Assault Allegations

Channel 4 has canceled Married at First Sight UK, also known as MAFS UK, following allegations of sexual assault and rape. CEO Priya Dogra confirmed the decision after two external welfare reviews. Although one review indicated that future series could reasonably continue, Dogra stated the show has run its course. Additionally, a review found contestants faced pressure to be intimate, suggesting that the production team should have implemented CCTV and panic buttons for participant safety.
