Little Bear

Little Bear, a beloved black bear, has died at age 21. After being rescued as an orphaned cub, the animal spent 20 years at Maymont. Due to deteriorating health and longtime health challenges, Little Bear was humanely euthanized earlier this summer. The loss of the resident bear follows a long period of care at the facility, where the animal became a well-known figure before its health declined, leading to the decision for euthanasia.
