Novak Djokovic has advanced to the Beijing Open final, extending his tournament record to 33-0. He is scheduled to face No. 5 Alex de Minaur in Tuesday's final match. This progression occurred after Daniil Medvedev was defaulted from the China Open for hitting a fan in the eye with a ball. The incident mirrors a 2020 US Open event where Novak Djokovic was expelled for accidentally hitting a line judge in the throat with a ball.
