Junior homers twice in semifinal, voted Oregon Softball Player of the Week

Two high school juniors have earned weekly honors in Oregon. A star shortstop was named Oregon Softball Player of the Week after recording four hits and five RBIs, including two home runs, during a state semifinal. Simultaneously, a junior pitcher was voted Oregon Baseball Player of the Week for throwing a no-hitter in the title game. He is the fourth pitcher to achieve a no-hitter in an OSAA baseball final, marking a significant athletic accomplishment.
