New Meta feature lets anyone use your Instagram photos in AI images – here’s how to opt out

Meta recently introduced Muse Image, a bot from Superintelligence Labs designed to compete with Google’s Nano Banana 2 and OpenAI’s ChatGPT Images 2.0. The feature allowed the generation of AI images using public Instagram posts, but it launched with a controversial default setting that upset many users. Consequently, Meta has now removed the specific feature that enabled the use of public Instagram posts for AI image generation following the negative user reaction.
