MetaMask Security Incident Prompts Exit of Affected Ethereum Validators

MetaMask is currently responding to an ongoing security incident affecting part of its infrastructure. The cryptocurrency wallet maker is working with external partners and security advisors to remediate the issue, stating there is no immediate threat to MetaMask wallets. Consequently, affected Ethereum validators are exiting, a process that could take up to 45 days. Lido is investigating the infrastructure compromise, although the specific number of affected validators and the amount of ETH remain undisclosed.
