Microsoft Breaks Another Patch Tuesday Record

Microsoft's September 2026 Patch Tuesday is the largest ever, fixing a record 966 vulnerabilities. This update addresses 105 critical flaws, including 81 remote code execution, 20 elevation of privileges, two information disclosure, and one security feature bypass. The total count includes 438 elevation of privilege, 258 remote code execution, 173 information disclosure, 56 denial of service, and 19 security feature bypass bugs. Two zero-days already exploited in attacks were also resolved during this record-breaking update cycle.
