Microsoft’s July update is blocked on some Dell PCs. Here’s why

Microsoft blocked the July update KB5101650 for certain Dell PCs due to incompatibilities with Intel Innovation Platform Framework drivers, which caused overheating and crashes. Separately, Microsoft is ending OneDrive support for Windows 10 22H1 on August 15th, 2026. While file synchronization might still work after this date, affected users will no longer receive critical security updates, bug fixes, or new features, as the company will no longer guarantee functionality for these older versions.
