Military uses AV directed energy system to ‘defeat’ drones at the border

U.S. troops utilized the Army Multipurpose High Energy Laser (AMP-HEL) system to intercept three hostile drones along the southern border between Tuesday night and Wednesday. The Joint Task Force — Southern Border (JTF-SB) deployed this directed energy system after determining the drones supported activities posing risks.
