The Sift is Minecraft's first new dimension in 15 years, coming in 2027

Mojang announced The Sift, the first new explorable dimension added to Minecraft since 2011. Revealed during Minecraft Live, this ethereal fourth dimension will arrive in the base game in 2027. Originally marketed for Minecraft Dungeons 2, The Sift aims to feel distinct from the Nether and The End. Creative director Mans Olson stated the team intends for this major addition to avoid becoming another hostile environment, providing a unique experience for players within the sandbox game.
