FBI foils alleged terrorist attack at Minneapolis’s Mall of America

The FBI thwarted a planned terrorist attack targeting the Mall of America in Minneapolis. Agents stopped the plot by supplying a teenager, identified as Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud, with an assault rifle. According to an FBI source, Mohamud repeatedly affirmed his intent to carry out the attack to kill non-Muslims. The operation successfully foiled the threat through an undercover sting, preventing the teenager from executing his violent plan against the shopping center and its visitors.
