Mistral releases Large 4, a 1 trillion-parameter open-weight AI model

Mistral has released a preview of Mistral Large 4, a 1 trillion-parameter open-weight AI model. The Paris-based company claims it is the most powerful open-weight AI system outside China. Developers can currently access the model via Mistral’s API, while the model weights for local server deployment will be available in October. Meanwhile, reports regarding a model named Le Chonk highlight the necessity for transparency and verification to prevent misinformation during AI advancements.
