Montana Democratic Party chair resigns, endorses independent in Senate race

Shannon O Brien, chair of the Montana Democratic Party since 2025, announced her resignation on Monday. This decision follows months of internal strife regarding resource allocation between Bodnar, who has external Democratic support, and Bankhead, who was unknown before January. O Brien stated that the Montana Democratic Party is currently more divided than ever before.
