Moonshot AI released Kimi-K3, a 2.8 trillion parameter open-weight multimodal agentic model. Featuring a 1-million-token context window, it utilizes Kimi Delta Attention, Attention Residuals, and a Stable LatentMoE framework, activating 16 of 896 experts per token for 2.5x better scaling efficiency. Launched in July 2026, Kimi-K3 supports text, images, and video. It is the first open-source model to outperform Claude and GPT in frontend coding benchmarks while significantly reducing the cost per solved task.
