Hantavirus outbreak linked to cruise ship over, WHO says

The World Health Organization announced on Thursday that the hantavirus outbreak associated with a cruise ship has concluded. Separately, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported a norovirus outbreak on the Ruby Princess while docked in San Francisco. According to the CDC, the illness affected 102 passengers out of more than 3,000 onboard, as well as 23 crewmembers. Both incidents highlight health monitoring efforts across different cruise ship environments and international health agencies.
