Congressional Democrats to investigate efforts to deport U.S. military members and their families

More than 60 Democratic lawmakers, including Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Richard Blumenthal, and Tammy Duckworth, are investigating the Trump administration for detaining family members of over 50 active-duty troops. The probe focuses on the conversion of military installments into traps for noncitizens, breaking promises of immigration protections for service members. While the Pentagon declined to comment publicly, stating it would reply directly to the authors, Democrats claim these deportation efforts tear apart dozens of military families.
