Murder charges filed after 2-year-old dead, mom found attempting self harm in Frankfort

Corie A. Walsh faces three counts of first-degree murder after her 2-year-old child was found dead at a home in Frankfort. Authorities discovered the boy unresponsive while the mother was attempting to harm herself. According to Frankfort Police Chief Leanne Chelepis, Walsh is currently receiving medical treatment and will be transferred to Will County Jail upon release.
