Motion Picture Association Inks AI IP Protection Deal With ByteDance

The Motion Picture Association and ByteDance have established a framework to protect intellectual property for the film and TV industries. This agreement, formalized through a memorandum of understanding, covers ByteDance's suite of generative AI products. Specifically, the deal ensures IP protections across TikTok and the company's AI video and image generators, including Seedance and Seedream. This collaboration follows previous communications between the MPA and the Chinese tech giant regarding the safeguarding of creative content.
