NASA, SpaceX Advance Wind Tunnel Tests for Starship Rocket

NASA and SpaceX are conducting wind tunnel tests at the Ames Research Center on the Super Heavy Version 3 rocket booster to analyze aerodynamic forces during re-entry for the Artemis III mission. Simultaneously, NASA leadership and Virginia officials opened the Flight Dynamics Research Facility at the Langley Research Center. This first major new wind tunnel in over 40 years will support research and technology development to advance NASA's science, exploration, and aeronautics goals across the agency.
