Four NATO Allies to Procure Up to Five MQ-4C Triton HALE UAVs

On 7 July 2026, Denmark, Finland, Germany, and Norway announced the procurement of up to five Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton high-end, high-altitude and long-endurance (HALE) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This initiative aims to enhance NATO's owned Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Force. The announcement was made during the NATO Summit Defence Industry Forum in Ankara, as confirmed by NATO's Rutte, focusing on increasing the alliance's surveillance capabilities through these advanced Triton drones for collective security.
