Building Mundane: An Open-Source AI Field Investigator

Two new open-source AI projects, Mundane and Trail Buddy, were submitted for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 1: Touch Grass. Mundane acts as a field investigator, transforming outdoor observations into structured scientific inquiries to help users notice physical reality. Trail Buddy is a web app that matches descriptions of nature, such as bird calls or moss, with a nature guide. Both tools aim to minimize screen time and encourage active exploration of the outdoors.
