NBC Prepares for Spin-Off By Hiring Christopher Halpin as CFO

NBCUniversal is preparing for its corporate spin-off from parent company Comcast, expected within one year. As part of this transition, the media conglomerate has appointed Christopher Halpin as chief financial officer. Joining from People Incorporated, Halpin will officially begin his new role on September 8. He is set to report directly to Mike Cavanagh, the co-CEO of Comcast, as NBCUniversal establishes its own independent corporate path and enters its next operational chapter.
