Neon Counters A24’s SCP Foundation Movie With “Open-Source” Project To Release Under Creative Commons License

Neon has announced an open-source horror project based on the SCP Foundation universe to compete with A24. While A24 acquired a movie from Spooky Pictures and Image Nation Studios, it reportedly failed to contact the SCP Wiki team or commit to a Creative Commons license. In response, Neon plans an anthology film compliant with Creative Commons requirements, positioning its project as an open-source alternative to A24's version, which caused significant friction within the fan community.
