Netflix Chief Content Office Bela Bajaria Out; Peter Rice In

Netflix has appointed former Disney executive Peter Rice as its new Chief Content Officer, replacing Bela Bajaria. Bajaria, who joined the streamer in 2016 and became CCO in January 2023, is exiting the company. This leadership change occurs shortly after Netflix implemented a massive cull, resulting in the layoff of approximately 1,000 employees. Bajaria previously managed the unscripted TV slate before her promotion, and her departure follows recent rumors regarding her exit from the organization.
