Thousands in NJ without power during Thursday's extreme heat

Extreme heat on Thursday caused widespread power outages across NJ and Marblehead. In Marblehead, temperatures reached nearly 100 degrees, resulting in approximately 1,000 customers losing electricity, according to the Marblehead Municipal Light Department. Simultaneously, thousands of residents in NJ experienced power failures during the same period of intense heat.
