GhostTerminal AI, also known as Haunted Terminal, is a Halloween-themed interactive terminal created for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 4. The application simulates a vintage cathode-ray tube experience where a digital spirit resides at memory address 0xDEADBEEF. Instead of cloud APIs, it utilizes open-weight models like Qwen2.5-0.5B-Instruct and Llama, running 100% locally on consumer CPU hardware. The AI ghost provides spooky, witty, and philosophical commentary to users within a digital séance chamber.
