Nous Research raises $90M to take its Hermes AI agent to businesses

Nous Research raised $90M to develop a business version of its open-source Hermes AI agent, valuing the company at $1.5bn. Investors include Nvidia, Microsoft’s M12, Samsung, Robot Ventures, Union Square Ventures, Y Combinator, and Menlo Ventures. Simultaneously, the company launched the Hermes Index to benchmark agentic AI models. This index focuses on cost-efficiency and performance, aiming to reshape AI model evaluation and potentially influence enterprise adoption of these advanced agentic systems across various business sectors.
