Nvidia, Microsoft and IBM Launch Open Secure AI Alliance to Strengthen AI Cybersecurity

Nvidia, Microsoft, and IBM have launched the Open Secure AI Alliance, joined by over 40 technology companies and organizations. This alliance aims to develop open-source AI security tools, standards for cyber defense, and agent harnesses. The initiative emphasizes the need for locally controlled AI, as closed-model safeguards reportedly hindered the analysis of the OpenAI–Hugging Face breach. Notably, OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic are absent from this new cybersecurity collaboration focused on strengthening AI defenses.
