Nvidia manager indicted in Taiwan for smuggling AI chips to China

Taiwan has indicted nine individuals, including a senior Nvidia manager and two Supermicro employees, for allegedly forging documents to illegally export high-end AI servers to China. These actions violated US export controls. Prosecutors in Keelung charged the suspects with document forgery and breach of trust. Additionally, one suspect remains at large for siphoning funds from a distributor involved in providing restricted Nvidia chips to China, highlighting Taiwan's active role in enforcing US tech export restrictions.
