Sam Bankman-Fried Formally Seeks Presidential Pardon From Trump, Files Clemency Petition

Sam Bankman-Fried, the convicted FTX founder currently serving a 25-year sentence for fraud, has formally petitioned President Donald Trump for a presidential pardon. Despite previously being a major financial backer for Democrats and losing a $10B fraud case, Bankman-Fried is seeking clemency. This application comes even though Trump has publicly indicated he does not intend to grant the pardon, although other prominent figures in the crypto industry have already been freed through similar actions.
