OpenAI is finally merging ChatGPT’s chat and Work tabs

OpenAI is merging the Chat and Work tabs into a single unified experience within the ChatGPT desktop app. This overhaul allows users to integrate files and plugins to build websites or create presentations in one workspace. The update eliminates the separation between queries and tasks. Additionally, ChatGPT and Codex will share a single usage allocation pool starting in December. The rollout begins with a small test group before expanding to all users gradually.
