FBI says an OpenAI engineer used his wife’s AI chatbot to figure out how to plant a secret recording device at the office

The FBI arrested Abdulrahman Alfozan, a 35-year-old OpenAI engineer, for allegedly planting a secret recording device at the company headquarters. According to the FBI, Alfozan utilized his wife's AI chatbot to determine how to install the device. Investigations revealed that Alfozan, his wife, and an unnamed family member possessed one-way tickets to Saudi Arabia via Istanbul. The arrest follows the discovery of the recording equipment placed within the OpenAI office by the employee.
