Oscars: Switzerland Selects ‘Who is Still Alive’ About Palestinians Who Escaped Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza

The Swiss Federal Office of Culture has selected the documentary Who is Still Alive as Switzerland's official entry for the Academy Award for Best International Feature. Directed by Nicolas Wadimoff, the film follows nine Palestinians who escaped the violence and humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Exploring themes of survival, exile, and the loss of home, the documentary had its world premiere at the 2025 Giornate degli Autori in Venice, giving a voice to refugees fleeing the Gaza War.
