Three critically endangered American red wolf pups born at the St. Louis Zoo's wildlife reserve have been fostered into a new environment. On April 20, 2026, one of these pups underwent a medical examination at the Sears Lehman Jr. Wildlife Reserve. This effort is part of the ongoing conservation initiatives managed by the St. Louis Zoo to support the survival of the species through specialized care and monitoring at their dedicated wildlife reserve facility.
