Bob Krist engaged with a citizen following a town hall event in York, Nebraska, on September 27. After joining the Legislature, Krist asserted his political independence by challenging Dave Heineman, the Governor who originally appointed him to the position. He has since established himself as an independent voice within the legislative body, moving away from the influence of his former appointer to define his own political path and legislative priorities in the state.
