Production of precious metals has been reduced at the Stillwater Mine, yet plans for future work remain in development. Recent 2024 documentation shows underground miners continuing operations at active mining sites within the Sibanye-Stillwater Mine. These activities include work performed both in the underground sections and within the large shop area of the facility. Despite the current cutbacks in metal production, the site maintains active personnel and strategic planning for upcoming operational phases.
