A life jacket loaner station has been established at Wehrspann Lake within the Chalco Hills Recreation Area in Sarpy County. This new facility is dedicated to Wyatt “Stooky” Bernal, who tragically passed away in July after drowning in the lake. The station aims to provide safety equipment to visitors of the area to prevent future accidents, serving as a memorial to Bernal while promoting water safety for all individuals visiting the local recreation site.
