Paramount-Warner Deal Cleared by UK Antitrust Watchdog

The UK antitrust watchdog, the Competition and Markets Authority, has officially approved Paramount Skydance Corp.’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. The deal, valued between $110 billion and $111 billion, was cleared after regulators determined that the proposed takeover does not raise any competition concerns within Britain. This regulatory green light allows the massive merger to proceed, as the authority found no significant issues regarding market competition resulting from the consolidation of these two media giants.
