Judge Extends Temporary Restraining Order Pausing Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery Merger

U.S. District Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín extended a temporary restraining order pausing the Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery merger for an additional 14 days. Consequently, the transaction cannot close until at least August 17 or 18. The extension provides parties more time before a scheduled hearing on August 3. During this proceeding, the judge will address a request for a preliminary injunction, which could indefinitely block the deal.
