Paramount-Warner Bros. Merger to Be Formally Investigated by U.K. Competition Watchdog

The Competition and Markets Authority, the U.K. competition regulator, has formally initiated an investigation into the proposed $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery by David Ellison-led Paramount Skydance. The CMA is currently reviewing the deal to decide whether to approve the merger or refer it for further scrutiny.
