Pedestrian dead, driver hospitalized after crash in Pompano Beach, deputies say

A pedestrian has died and a driver was hospitalized following a traffic crash in Pompano Beach. According to the Broward Sheriff s Office, the driver fatally struck the pedestrian while they were on the sidewalk. Both Broward Sheriff s Office deputies and Fire Rescue units responded to the scene of the incident to provide assistance and conduct the investigation into the crash that resulted in one fatality and one hospitalization.
