Pedestrian struck, killed on 10 Freeway near Vermont Avenue in Mid-City; several lanes closed

A fatal crash involving a pedestrian and multiple vehicles occurred at 3:45 a.m. Monday on the westbound 10 Freeway near Vermont Avenue in the Pico-Union area of Los Angeles. The incident triggered a SigAlert and closed several lanes near the 110 Freeway interchange. Additionally, a separate fatal wreck involving a pedestrian took place at 1:38 a.m. Friday in the 5900 block of Pocahontas Road located in western Jefferson County.
