Pennsylvania reports apparent third measles-related death amid outbreak

Pennsylvania has reported a third measles-related death following the passing of a 40-year-old woman due to complications. This follows two previous infant deaths in August; one child had a genetic defect increasing vulnerability, while the other died from a ruptured spleen. These fatalities occur as the United States faces its most severe resurgence of the highly contagious disease in 35 years. The Jefferson county coroner confirmed the most recent death occurred this past Saturday.
